World Environment Day Celebration by Eco Club at Guru Nanak Public School
The Eco Club of Guru Nanak Public School celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2023 with enthusiasm and commitment towards the environment. The event witnessed the participation of students from primary to senior secondary wings. The club organized various activities to mark the significance of the day.
The Eco Club organized a range of activities for the students, including role play, skit, slogan writing, poster making, awareness rally, plastic and garbage collection from nearby villages, debate, declamation, essay writing, and quiz competition. The activities were designed to educate and sensitize students about the importance of the environment and the need to protect it.
Role Play and Skit:
The role play and skit were performed by students to showcase the importance of the environment and the role of humans in preserving it. The performances were highly informative and entertaining.
Slogan Writing and Poster Making:
The students were given the opportunity to showcase their creativity through slogan writing and poster making activities. The posters were displayed in the school to spread awareness about the environment and its protection.
An awareness rally was conducted by the Eco Club to spread the message of protecting the environment. The students carried placards and banners with slogans on environmental conservation and marched through the streets.
Plastic and Garbage Collection:
The Eco Club organized a plastic and garbage collection drive from nearby villages to promote cleanliness and hygiene. The students collected the waste and segregated it for proper disposal.
Debate and Declamation:
The debate and declamation competitions were organized to encourage students to express their views on environmental issues. The participants presented their arguments effectively and showcased their knowledge of the subject.
Essay Writing and Quiz Competition:
The essay writing and quiz competition were conducted to assess the students’ understanding of environmental issues. The topics were thought-provoking and challenged the students’ critical thinking abilities.
The World Environment Day celebration by the Eco Club of Guru Nanak Public School was a grand success. The activities organized by the club were highly informative and engaging.
